A total of 33 participants (six female) representing regional AGP PCU, Bureau of Agriculture (Extension, Cooperatives, Livestock and Irrigation, Input Supply Directorate ) and other government organizations including Women’s Affairs Bureau, Tigray Agricultural Marketing Promotion Agency (TAMPA) and Environmental Protection and Land Administration (EPLUA) Agency and research institutions and Zonal Capacity Development Officers participated in the training.

Opening the training sessions, Ato Habtemichael Mezgebe, Tigray Regional AGP PCU Coordinator said he is hopeful that the trainings will bring about tangible results as it is based on identified gaps. He urged participants to put into practice what they have learnt without waiting until they have completed the four modules.

Rick Steel, CDSF International Capacity Development Advisor; Tigabu Lema and Hailu Abay Tigray CDSF Capacity Development Specialists facilitated the training.

One of the participants Hailu Kiros, who is Capacity Building Senior Expert with Tigray Regional Agriculture and Rural Development Bureau, had the following to say about the training.

During the reflection session at the end of the training, participants also described the content as very useful and the facilitation as excellent. They said the training has helped them to identify the gaps they had experienced in the preparation and delivery of trainings.

At the end of the training, participants received certificates for completing the requirements of Module One training. Ato Solomon G/Selassie, Representative of Tigray Agricultural Extension Service directorate handed over certificates on behalf of the Extension service directorate.

In his closing remarks, Ato Solomon thanked CDSF for organizing the training and asked all participants to do the performance task with the same level of enthusiasm they showed during the training sessions.
