The Oromia Agriculture Growth Program (AGP2), in collaboration with CDSF Oromia Office, organized a four-day training at Adama Executive Hotel. The course was titled ’Designing and Developing Capacity Development Activities’ and is part of the Master Facilitation Development Program (MFDP). In his opening remarks, Ato Dechasa Dugasa, Oromia Region AGP 2 coordinator emphasized the importance of the training to the success of AGP 2 program and urged the MFDP trainees to actively participate in the training.

A total of 29 participants (four female) participated in the training.

Major topics covered during the training include: Introduction to the MFDP; the ADDIE Model, Performance Objectives, Learning Objectives, Training Methods, Session at a Glance, Training Participant Book and Facilitator Guide Development. The facilitators used various adult learner-centered training methods during the sessions, and this was very much appreciated by the participants.

Closing the training sessions, Dr. Tesfaye Bekele, Deputy Head of Oromia Livestock and Fishery Development Bureau said that most AGP implementing agencies have started applying what they have learnt from previous training in their capacity development efforts. He finally thanked CDSF and the facilitators for organizing and facilitating the training.
