M&E training participants

A total of 55 participants drawn from regional AGP2 PCUs, Zonal AGP2 and Woreda AGP2 focal persons, and ten CDSF Zonal Capacity Development Officers (ZCDOs) participated in the training.

The AGP2 Regional PCU Coordinator, Simchaew Chekol, opened the event by informing participants that the training will help AGP2 M&E experts to collect relevant information as per government and development partners quantitative and qualitative information reporting requirements.

The training was facilitated by two AGP2 Regional PCU M&E experts and one Regional CDSF capacity development specialist.

The training covered topics such as the importance of developing tailored reporting documents, the roles and responsibilities of Zonal and Woreda focal persons, DAs and implementing agencies as well as data quality and accuracy checking techniques. Adult learning principles and techniques were applied in the training which provided each individual trainee an opportunity to actively participate and gain the most from the training sessions.

In his closing remarks, Ato Simachew Chekol, AGP2 Regional PCU Coordinator said that the training was important for tailoring the reporting formats. He also said that the data quality checking techniques will help solve problems such as inconsistency in reporting and inaccurate data collection. Ato Simachew finally thanked AGP2 CDSF for providing the much-needed technical support.
